Advisory work for engineers who want to advise.
TM Advisory & Engineering works on technically complex and commercially significant projects across global markets. We are a small, senior team. If the quality of the work matters to you, we would like to hear from you.
Advisory without compromise.
We built the firm around a simple proposition: independent engineering advice, free from delivery conflicts. That shapes everything about how we work and who we work with.
Independent by structure
We carry no delivery risk and hold no construction interests. Our advice is never qualified by the need to protect a fee or a contract relationship. For engineers who want to give honest counsel, that independence matters.
Genuine variety of work
Our mandates span sectors — infrastructure, energy, resources, ports, government — and cross multiple geographies. You will not spend years in a single technical silo.
Direct client exposure
We are a lean, senior team. There is no buffer between our people and the client. You will be in the room, contributing directly to high-stakes decisions from early in your time here.
High standards, low politics
We value technical rigour, clear writing and commercial awareness above tenure or title. The work is demanding. The environment is collegiate.
Experienced engineers. Independent thinkers.
We do not hire to fill seats. We engage people whose background, judgement and communication make us better.
Senior Engineer — Advisory
Principal / AssociateExperienced engineers who want to transition from delivery into independent advisory. You bring deep technical knowledge in at least one sector and the ability to communicate with clarity at a senior level.
Civil, structural, mechanical or process engineering. 10+ years. Prior advisory, owner's engineer or client-side experience an advantage.
Technical Due Diligence Specialist
Associate / Senior AssociateEngineers with experience reviewing assets for investment, financing or acquisition. Comfortable working across asset classes and producing clear, commercially-oriented reports under timeline pressure.
Infrastructure, energy or resources background. Experience in lender's engineer, vendor DD or pre-acquisition technical review.
Infrastructure Advisory Analyst
Analyst / AssociateEarly-career professionals with strong analytical foundations who want to build a career in independent advisory. You think clearly, write well and are drawn to the commercial and strategic dimensions of engineering.
Engineering or related technical degree. 2–5 years in infrastructure, government, consulting or a related field.
Project Management — Owner's Representative
Senior Associate / PrincipalExperienced project managers with a track record delivering or overseeing complex, high-value projects on the client side. You understand governance, contracts and what it takes to protect a client's interests through delivery.
Civil or project management background. Major project experience. Comfortable operating in multi-contractor environments.
Technical rigour. Commercial clarity. Independent judgement.
The best advisory work requires all three in equal measure. We look for people who understand that engineering insight without commercial awareness is limited, and that advice without independence is not really advice.
Expression of Interest
We do not always advertise open positions. If you believe your background and experience aligns with the kind of work we do, we welcome a direct introduction.
Expressions of interest are reviewed by the principals. If your profile is relevant to current or anticipated requirements, we will make contact directly.
All expressions of interest are treated in strict confidence and will not be shared outside the firm.
We retain expressions of interest on file and reach out when the right opportunity arises. We do not respond to every submission, but we read all of them.
Discuss your project.
TM Advisory & Engineering engages on complex, high-value projects where independent technical advice makes a material difference to outcomes.
